Why the carcass matters more than the shutter
Everyone sells you on the finish, because the finish is what photographs. But the shutter is the part you replace; the carcass is the part you can't. What fails in an Indian kitchen is almost always the same thing: moisture gets into an unsealed edge, the board swells, and the door stops closing properly. It happens at the bottom of the sink unit, usually in year three, and by then whoever built it is unreachable. We use moisture-resistant BWP-grade cores and machine-press the edge banding rather than gluing it on site — the difference costs a little and shows up a decade later.
