False Ceiling & Lighting in Pune

Lighting is the cheapest thing on the quote that changes a room the most, and the false ceiling is mostly there to make the lighting possible.

Ceilings are a means, not an end

A false ceiling exists to hide wiring, house lights and drop the height where the height is unkind. It is not, by itself, a design feature — and a heavily moulded ceiling in a 2 BHK with a 9ft slab makes the room feel smaller, not richer. We'd usually do a peripheral cove in the living room, nothing in the bedrooms, and spend the saving on the lights themselves.

Three layers, not one

Almost every Indian flat is lit by one bright thing in the middle of the ceiling, which is why so many of them feel like a clinic in the evening. A room wants three layers: ambient (the general light), task (where you read, chop, work) and accent (what you're drawing the eye to). Getting that right costs very little and is the single biggest difference between a room that photographs well and a room that feels good at 9pm.

Warm, and consistent

Colour temperature matters more than fittings. 2700–3000K throughout a home, with nothing cooler creeping into a bedroom. Mixing temperatures across a flat is the most common lighting mistake we're asked to fix, and it's free to get right at the drawing stage.

We'll call, not email. No sales pitch before you've seen a number.

Questions

False Ceiling & Lighting, answered.

Almost certainly not. Living room, often. Bedrooms, rarely worth it. Kitchen, only if there's something to hide. We'll usually talk you out of most of it and put the money into the lighting.
